Playa Grande is an unusually beautiful parcel of about 2,000 acres on the North Coast
of the Dominican Republic, straddling the towns of Rio San Juan and Cabrera.
The property has great topography, with hills and cliffs and 5 miles of exposure to
the Atlantic Ocean, including a wide, mile-long beach. It is lush and undeveloped,
with old trees and Royal Palms. On the western coast, Robert Trent Jones built his
final golf course, cut into the cliffs over the sea. Underground springs supply
abundant fresh water, and the neighboring land is small farms and forest.
This course has been dubbed the 'Pebble Beach of the Caribbean' because of its
setting on the cliffs overlooking the ocean.
Pros and occasional golfers alike praise this course for its breath-taking Atlantic views.

Caddies are mandatory, minimum 1 per cart. Caddy fee for 18 holes is US$20.00 and
for 9 holes is US$12.00 payable directly to caddy. Companions are not allowed on
the course, if by any reason a player brings a guest to Playa Grande, he/she must
remain on the club house and should follow the dress code for players. Credit cards
are accepted. A taxi fee of $120 USD for round trip transportation will be due in
cash on the day of tee-time. The course is about a 1 hour drive away from the
resort. You can reserve a tee-time by sending an email to reservations@tour69.com.
